They were built at 8 locations throughout Japan including the Kasaoka area Farm Field Air Field in October, 1991 to the Fukushima Farm Field Air Field in April, 1998. It was a project to expand the market and to increase the demand transporting highly valued faming products by air for the agricultural promotion for the local area. It was planned to transport passengers eventually but all the Farm Road Air Fields are in deficit with a huge debit including high transport expenses, construction and maintenance expenses from the beginning.These Farm Road Air Fields were ruled for 10 years from its' opening that only farming products can be transported. This rule has been moderated in 2001 and now they can be used for other purposes. Since then, they are used for the local aviation activities of various purposes such as sightseeing flight, sky sports events, disaster prevention and medical emergencies. However, they cannot earn enough income for the airport maintenance, managing expenses and it is operated by subsidy by the local self-government. The following chapters are studies of the current situation of the Farm Road Air Fields and the direction of future success., 14, KJ00004898546}, pages = {249--259}, title = {農道空港の現状とその将来}, volume = {8}, year = {2008}, yomi = {ヒタラ, マサハル} }
